 Agios Georgios Pagon (North) is a pleasant, quiet resort in a beautiful bay, and is situated 35 km northwest of the Corfu island capital, near the settlement of the same name. The boundless beach, which has been awarded with the blue flag by EEC, is considered as one of the best and safest Corfu beaches of the island. Its golden sands extend over five kilometres, its waters are emerald and mirror-like; and the whole beach is surrounded by verdant hills and pine trees. Umbrellas and sun beds are available as well as water sports facilities. The beach also proposes some fish tavernas, and a few bars. Nearby resorts are Arillas and San Stefanos. A visit to the old and traditional village of Afionas it's worth it, as the views from the top of this place, are outstanding! There are a few hotel pools and a selection of water sports, otherwise daytime activities involve taking in the sun on the uncrowned beach or enjoying fabulous walks along the coast and the surrounding hills and villages.
