Kassiopi Corfu: Kassiopi resort – A great holiday base with something for everyone
The village is situated on the north east coast of Corfu Island 35 kilometres from Corfu town and airport. It is situated beneath Mt. Pantokrator, and hills covered with olive groves, vines and citrus plantations. It is a colourful place reached by picturesque coast roads, offering a lovely view.
In Kassiopi, there are many hotels, apartments, rooms Villas for rent and studios, as well as an abundance of tavernas, cafés and bars by the beach. Despite being an established resort, Kassiopi still retains something of its fishing village past and its importance in ancient history. Fisherman still work from the harbour alongside flashier modern boats.
Kassiopi Beach is one of the cosmopolitan Corfu beaches. There, visitors will find hundreds of sunbathers on this pebble and shingle beach, lying on chaise lounges taking in the sun. Kassiopi beaches and secluded coves with fewer facilities are found around the beautiful headland. Most beaches are pebbly but there are plenty of them and they can be charmingly small and secluded, but it's easy to walk to other longer beaches and bays like Avlaki, Imerolia and Kalamionas. There are water sports like waterskiing and paragliding, as well as a diving centre, tennis courts and swimming pools if your holiday in Kassiopi gets too boring!
