Kavos Corfu
Kavos is a long sandy beach located in the village of the same name. Kavos is 30 miles (47 km) south of Corfu town and Corfu airport. It is a busy and crazy resort with many bars, clubs and other activities... Kavos is Corfu's biggest and best party town located on the southern tip of this lush and beautiful island. Come in summer and you'll find seriously kicking nightlife (80+ bars), a fabulous 2km long sandy beach, clear, blue waters and more cheap booze than you can shake a stick at...
Tavernas with British menus are plentiful. One or two more traditional Greek places survive but there's no pretending a holiday in Kavos is for those seeking old-style authenticity. The Kavos beach with its impressive long sandy beach, one of the largest on Corfu Island, (is 2 km long) and offers all kind of facilities, and water sports like bungee jumping, doughnut rings and banana rides, water-ski, jet-ski and even cage catapulting! Try them all depending on how deep your pocket is.

You can hire a moped and explore the deserted sandy shores of Corfu - recommended are Issos Beach, near Linia on the south-west coast and Myrtiotissa, near Sinarades Town, said by its devotees to be the most beautiful beach in the world. It has a natural spring to wash off the salt on your skin and a steep 200 yard walk down to the beach so only fit people make it! A small bar sells water and beer.

Kavos is not Corfu, let's be clear about this. Age-old villages, medieval monasteries, deserted coves are all there to explore if you fancy discovering the real thing. Kavos has regular bus connections with fascinating Corfu town, bus tours of the island, and the chance to experience a complete contrast with boat trips to Corfu town, Parga, Blue Lagoon and the picturesque islands of Paxos and tiny Antipaxos.
