Nudist beach in Corfu: Myrtiotissa Corfu / Korfu
A beauty spot next to Glyfada is the naturalist beach of Myrtiotissa. .Emerald waters, fine sand and virgin nature. Myrtiotissa is described by some enthusiasts as the most beautiful beach in Europe. Tree and shrub covered cliffs drop directly to the sand creating a wonderful sense of isolation. Rocky promontories curl at both ends of the long beach offering opportunities for snorkelling in the crystal clear water.
If you want to get there, I would advise the following... Buy a good map, follow the directions (available on the internet and in most of the various guide books) carefully and then be prepared to get seriously lost. It WILL happen. Once you have found it, expect a long walk down a steep cliff and remember... the climb back up is even harder. It is worth it though.
The beach is split into two halves. To the east everyone is clothed and to the west everyone is nude. The good news is that 2 of the three beach bars are on the nude side. Treat yourself to a beer or a fruit salad with Greek Yoghurt and honey. Have a swim and rinse off the salt water in the natural spring water which falls from the cliff. Every nudist should visit this beach at least once in their lives.
Beach beds and umbrellas are available for hire and snacks are also available. The "Bella Vista" half way between the beach and the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin is an ideal place for lunch and to enjoy the spectacular views over the beach and the walk back may be punctuated with a stop at the "Taverna Myrto" where you can enjoy a quiet drink or meal overlooking the olive groves.
